A couple of weeks ago I was doing a project when I realized I was short some interfacing. I decided that I would just run real fast to Joann’s to get some. But as always Joann’s was super busy and my real fast trip was going rather slowly. There was a lady in front of me who was getting that 20 bolts of fabric getting cut. I was I standing there not the least bit frustrated at how slow the line was moving (sarcam) when I saw the cutest fabric. And suddenly I was so grateful for the lady in front of me. She only got 1/2 a yard and gladly handed the fabric over to me. It was so cute and on sale. Win!!! Win!!!
I was excited I knew exactly what I was going to make with it. A dress pattern that I had had for over a year but I could never find just the right piece for it. Its a New Look pattern. Number 6935. New Look patterns are the ones that are generally on the twirly racks and not in the drawers with the rest of the patterns.
My favorite part of this dress has to be the front. I love the way it gathers. And no darts!!! If I make this dress again however I will lengthen it. It goes a little short when I sit down. But I still love it!!!
|My husband was nice enough to take this picture for me.
Not the best pictures but he was really tired. lol.
