This is a quilt I made for my son Jack. I made it from the autism line by Riley Blake. This quilt means a lot to me for a lot of different reasons.
We are currently in the process of having Jack tested for autism. Jack was diagnosised with speech delay when he was 2. I love watching him learn because I know it doesn’t come as easy for him as other 5 year olds. I am so proud of all he has accomplished!
I love the quilting that was done on this quilt. The quilter at Elaine’s Quilt Block, Holly, did such a fantastic job on this quilt. There is puzzle pieces actually quilted into the middle blocks.
I like that on the back of the quilt the main word you see is hope. They don’t have all the answers for what causes autism or how to “treat” it; but there is hope. And that is what keeps me going… HOPE.
I even made him a pillowcases to match
