Another rainy April day. But we need the water so I guess I can’t complain to much. Today I was kind of bored so I thought, hmmmmm….maybe I should organize my fabric and clean up my sewing room. Oh, boy! A lot more work than I thought it was going to be.
Last week I decided to turn my kids toy room into my sewing room. No worries, they have the biggest room in the house, so there was plenty of room for all their toys. But because of this move I actually had a lot to work on.
But once I got it all set up it was totally worth it. You see I use to have my sewing stuff in my bedroom. Which was awesome because my husbands works nights so I would just sew at night after my kids went to bed. Now that I am pregnant when James goes to work all I want to do is go to bed. This was making it a little hard for me to get anything done because James sleeps during the day. Now that I have moved my machine upstairs I can’t even begin to tell you what I have managed to get completed. None of which is housework. lol.
First I decided to organize my fat quarters and once I started that I thought, hmmmm….I wonder how many are here? Big mistake. The number amazed me. If I told you, you’d be shocked to. Okay, I’ll tell you. 191!!!! Say what. Considering that I have only been collecting for a year this shocked me. Guess I need to get to sewing with what i have.
After fat quarters I moved to yardage and scrap bins. Yes, I have more than just fat quarters. So I folded them all and stacked them so nice. Does it look like a lot? Well, I also got rid of a trash bag full of fabric. I gave them to mom.
