Around Christmas time my mom made me this awesome ironing board. Its actually made out of an old wooden TV tray and I think it is one of my favorite things in my sewing room. It sits right next to me while I sew making it faster and easier to sew. Whenever I need to press something I just turn in my seat; no need to get up. I love it!
This past week she made me a new cover that is removable. Which is awesome cause now i can through it in the wash! And its cute zebra!
Another product that helps me with the task of pressing would be my mini Rowenta iron. I freaking love this thing! It is the perfect size for pressing out little to large size blocks. Its light weight and heats up fast. And once it gets hot it stays HOT! Another good tip for pressing is to use Best Press. Its a light weight starch that doesn’t flake. And it comes in scented and unscented.
This little gem I actually made this weekend. I have been wanting to make a cover for my machine for a while now, but I wanted it to cover my extension table and knee bar. I found this great tutorial that helped me with the math. I did make mine a little different. I lined and added some interfacing to help it stand up. I used fabric from a Riley Blake line called Polka Dot Stitches. It has some sewing stuff on the fabric so i thought it would be cute.
