Oh, summer is here. You know what that means. Swimming, BBQ’s, days in the park and of course the kids home from school claiming to be bored. I have two wonderful, crazy little boys that light up my world. I have been trying and succeeding at having my kids do homework every day. I know that makes me sound mean but Jack has worked so hard and come so far that I don’t want him to loose any of what he has learned. And its just a page or two out of the kindergarten work books you can pick up anywhere. Plus he actually enjoys doing them. And since Easton has to do everything his big brother does he works on preschool ones as well.
I don’t want to be a slave driver and make them to do paper work everyday so on Wednesdays we do crafts. Today the kids painted bird houses that I picked up at Joann’s. I love getting these for the boys because they are so cheap and they are entertained.
Easton did the little bird house and Jack just had to have the barn.
And since the kids were painting I decided to join them and I made this cute sign. I have had this on my to do list since around October. I purchased it through my friends wards Super Saturday and never got around to painting it.
I painted it the colors in my kitchen. I know its a laundry room sign; but who goes in the laundry room? So I decided to hang it in my kitchen by the stairs that lead to the basement where the laundry room is at. The saying on this makes me laugh because I really truly hate doing laundry. I feel like the cycle never ends. But I guess its good I have so much laundry cause it means that I have a fantastic family that is blessed enough to have clothes.
