This is another quilt that I made for the trunk show at my work. I actually didn’t make it for the trunk show. I made it and my boss liked it so much she hung it up at the quilt shop. Which is fine with me. I have enough quilts at my house that having a few (13) at shop is okay with me.
The pattern I used for this quilt came from the book “Simply Fat Quarters” by Its Sew Emma and is called Truffles. When I first got the book this was on my favorite quilts in the book. And it was so EASY to make and fun.
I used the Pairie Rose line by Riley Blake Designs. I love the colors in this line. They are so calming. Its civil war looking with out being too civil war looking. Sorry if that doesn’t make much sense.
This was also the first quilt I had done mitered borders. I was a little nervous. But I don’t know why. They are so easy to do. In fact I think that I might start doing it on more of my quilts.
Another first for this quilt was my label. This is the first quilt I have ever put a label on and I love it. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering when I made quilts and this way I will know.
