I love doing twister quilts. It was the first quilt I ever made using a speciality ruler. I was scared at first but its so easy. This table runner is the 5th “twisted” project that I have done. What I love about this technique is how easy it but to other people it looks so much harder.
Here is a tutorial that Sarah at Fabric Seeds wrote on how simple these blocks are to make.
To make this runner you need:
12 5″ squares for your block
6 5″ blocks for your applique (I used a charm pack and then you can make more than one.)
1/3 yard white for borders of twisted blocks
1/8 yard for orange sashing
1/2 yard for border
1/2 yard backing
1/2 yard binding
My sashing strips I cut to 1 1/2″ and my border strips I cut to 3″.
Sorry this isn’t the greatest tutorial; but if you have any questions email me and I will help you.
The fabric collection I used was Boo Crew by Sweetwater.
