Some of you may remember me posting pics of my first log cabin last summer on Facebook. I never showed it completed because it never got quilted. Until now. That’s the best thing about my mom having a long arm quilting machine. Well its mine too. But she has more time with it and has practiced more so I gladly let her quilt my quilts. Which is great because I am finally getting my quilts out of the “to be quilted” pile and into the “needs binding” pile.
I love how this quilt turned out. It was a free pattern from Riley Blake called Whispering Meadow. The pattern was made for their Calliope line which is the same fabric that I used. I did make mine bigger by adding one more row on the side and bottom of the quilt. It still isn’t anything huge. A nice lap size. Just big enough to lay out on the grass and have a picnic or watch the stars on a summer night. See quilts can be used all year round. Not just during the cold months.
This quilt is currently available in my Etsy shop.
