I have posted about this quilt once before. It sat in my “to be quilted” pile for some time. I really wanted to get it quilted because The fabric was a gift from my kids. And finally it has been quilted. I’m telling you I am loving that my mom quilts these for me. Just this month she has quilted 4 or 5 for me. Which has put a huge dent in my stack.
About this quilt. I used the Double Slice Layer Cake pattern from Missouri star quilt company. I love this pattern. I have seen a lot of quilts made using it and they are all fantastic!!!
My mom quilted leaves into which fits it perfect. I again did a scrappy back because I was short fabric. I got the backing on such a good deal though. The green was only 3.99 a yard. The animal piece was left over from my borders and the yellow was a piece of solid I had from Northcott. I love how bright and bold the back is. And that yellow completed it perfectly!
I can’t wait to use this quilt on a picnic with my kids. Yes, they already have it planned.
