Hey, folks. Remember me? The girl who use to be really good about staying on top of her blogging. That is until the busiest summer ever happened. Well, I am back and I have some amazing posts planned for the next couple months! Including some giveaways. But lets get on with today’s cute post.
I was thrilled at the opportunity to be a pattern tester for All Dolled Up-Doll Clothes. I have always wanted to make doll clothes. I know that might seem a little strange. But I grew up with home made doll and Barbie clothes. I am going to start making them slowly and then give them to Hailey for her birthday or Christmas when she is old enough to start playing Mommy.
I LOVE all the patterns that All Dolled Up Doll Clothes has to offer. They are so cute and trendy. By making the clothes I get to chose the colors, designs and textures to make it just how I want. And the patterns are so EASY!The pattern that I tested for her was the Back To School knit shirt. I was a little nervous because I haven’t made anything this small before. The pattern was so easy to follow and the shirt just came together. I had no reason to be nervous! It was fun and took me like maybe an hour with cutting. And sewing on knits wasn’t hard at all once i realized there is a knit stitch on my machine. You probably have one to. It s the stitch that has 3 sets of dashed lines right by each other.
The patterns are reasonably priced too. They average less than $5. They are PDF downloads so you don’t have to wait for it in the mail. However, she does does have kits of the month. They feature a pattern and the fabric to make the clothing item. All of her patterns are for 18″ dolls like American Girl dolls but she is not affiliated with American Girl doll or Matel.
You can like her on Facebook to keep up to date on new patterns.
Terrie (designer for All Dolled Up Doll Clothes) let me use her doll to try on my top. After making this shirt I am currently in 2 bidding wars on eBay to get my own dolls. Ha HA HA!
