A couple weeks ago I was at my Aunt’s house for a family party and one of aunts said to me, “I don’t know anyone who is as busy as you are. How do you do it?” I laughed it off it off and I said I don’t know and the conversation went on. But as I was driving home that night I realized that I needed to something to keep my life more organized. I had so much going on I was stressing out and my anxiety was going CRAZY!! At Pinners Conference I was introduced to the Happy Planner and I feel in LOVE!!The Happy Planner comes in 3 sizes: Big, Classic and mini. I have the classic with the vertical weekly layout. Meaning that each day has 3 boxes to write in or decorate. Decorating is one of my favorite parts, but we will talk more about that later. I use one box for appointments and one box for my to do list for the day. The month view I track days that there isn’t school, games, and my husbands schedule. I got my planner at Michael’s. They are about $30 but you can use a coupon on it. Which is what I did. I also used a coupon on the sticker books and bunch. I got my hard cover there also.
I love that I can personal this planner so that it fits my needs. If I don’t have a lot going on one day then I just add more stickers. I love to add washi tape down the middle to give it a little more support. And, let’s be honest, washi tape is awesome! I might have a slight addiction to washi tape.
I like to use the graph paper expansion back to do some bullet journaling. One of my goals this year is to read more. So I made this adorable book-case to keep track of what I am reading. When I finish the book I will color it in. I also made one for tracking my weight loss and I am doing a spending freeze for the month of January.
It might sound weird but I actually have 2 planners. The mini I use strictly for my blog. I keep track of what me and Alicia are posting and when we are posting. It helps me keep track of projects, deadlines, and sponsors. I love it. And I love decorating it!
I love planning out my life and I feel like it is really happening. My anxiety has gone down because I know whats going on and when I need to get it done. I was having some problems with figuring out how to store all my planning supplies. I like to have everything in one spot so I can just sit and plan. Target was having a sale on their home storage needs so I picked up this little cart to keep everything on.
I love my Happy Planner and I highly recommend you get one so you too can be crazy organized!!! It is also a stress release for me. I love sitting down and making the pages cute. I usually decorate for the upcoming week on Sunday night after the kids have gone to bed. I pop in a movie, grab some Oreo’s and start planning.
