I was super excited to do this months mantle. I went with colors that I don’t have in my house. But I felt that pastels were very Easterish. And of course I have been a little obsessed with gold lately. A year ago gold never would have been allowed in my house. But now there is gold in every room. This time thought I went with a lighter gold. A little subtle color.I made the banner using my trusty Cricut. Seriously?? How did I live without this machine?!? I was super easy to make. Attached the eggs with a simple glue stick. I taped the twine onto the backs of the pendants to hang it up. The subway writing is a download that I wrote out with Cricut pens. I think my fave thing is the “you crack me up” cut out. I love it!!! Everything I cut out is in the Cricut database. The wooden eggs I got at The Wood Connection. I painted the sides and the back and attached some cute scrap book (from Michael’s) with wood glue to the front. I sanded the edges to make the paper even with the wood. The eggs in my jars are from Michaels and so is that adorable blue little bird. I love it.Pink egg plate, white canister, cake plate and wood board are all from the Target Dollar Spot. I love Target!! I cut out a bunny with my Cricut and taped it onto the board. It has a heart carved into it on the other side. But I tape something new to it every holiday. My cute Happy Easter sign came from Rodworks. That store is a home decor junkies Disneyland. Seriously I could spend hours walking around. And of course that is where I got my “mantle” or shelf.I love my happy little mantl. And I think I will just stare at everyday until I take it down next month.
