When I had my oldest boy, Jack, my life was so much less chaotic than it is now. You can tell this by the size of his baby scrapbook. His is about 2″ thick with pics of every moment (well almost every moment) of his first year of life. Then I had Easton and his book is maybe 1/2″ thick. Hailey I did a family Shutterfly book. And Carson…. well… Carson doesn’t have a book.
The older my kids get the busier my life gets! I feel so bad that I have slacked off on scrapbooks. And salt in the wound; my kids are getting old enough to realize that Jacks’s book is bigger than theirs.
That is why I am so grateful that I discovered Project Life. You can do 12″x12″ books or 6″x8″ books. I decided to do 6×8 books for the kids. I love the simplicity of the late out of these books. I print pictures and I can get them all into the book in one night.
I ordered my supplies from Stampin’ Up. I love the variety pack of page protectors. It adds some variety and gives you more options for your layout. I mostly used the Good Vibes collection with the add ons.
It was a lot of fun to sit down and put his book together. I am not done with it yet. But I am so excited to finish it. I enjoyed looking back at the pictures from his first year and watching him grow. And a little reminder how lucky I am that Carson is still here and part of our family. My fave page is the full page I made with his name tag from his cradle at the hospital. That little fox paper is also from Stampin’ Up.
