As you probably know we recently traveled to California for an adult only trip and it was AWESOME!!!! This is the first vacation me and my husband have ever taken without kids and it was totally needed. It renewed us and reminded us why we like each other.
The first day we were there we headed to Santa Monica. It wasn’t too warm because it was March but it wasn’t freezing either. We spent a couple of hours there and the men played in the water. I kept my butt on the dry sand. Since we were in Santa Monica we headed up to 3rd Street Promenade to get some lunch. We ate at the most delicious little taco bar. The food was delicious. In my top 5 favorite tacos. We needed up next to a bachelorette party so it was a little loud. And I as say that I feel really old. We stayed at my cousin’s house to save us some $$. And when we got back that night we played a hilarious round of Cards Against Humanity. Such a fun game.
Sunday we headed out to see my aunt. She is getting ready to sale my grandmas house and I wanted to see it one last time. James and Dallin also picked like a 100 oranges from her house and we took them home.
We headed into Hollywood and had lunch at the famed Roscoe’s Chicken Andy Waffles. It was really good chicken. We decided to walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That was interesting… It was fun!
Monday we headed to Universal Studios and Harry Potter World. A highlight of the trip for sure. We ate lunch at The 3 Broomsticks. It was really good! Of course we had to have a butter beer. You can’t go to Hogsmeade and not get a butter beer. The Harry Potter ride was so much fun. That was the first ride we did to avoid a long wait. We spent about 3 hours in Harry Potter world. I think my fave ride had to be the Simpson ride. The park was a lot of fun but I will say this it is not a place for little kids. 10 years and old is a good age group for that park. We stopped in Vegas on our way home because we had no kids and it sounded like fun. We stayed at the Stratosphere. I was really impressed with our room. We got a great deal from Groupon. They usually run some amazing deals for hotels in Vegas so may sure you check them out when booking your hotel. We had dinner at the Aria. Their buffet was very impressive. It was really nice too. We ate so much crab. Our vacation was amazing. It renewed us. It reminded me and my husband why we like each other. Adult only vacations will be happening more.
