I was thinking the other day about how many quilt tutorials I designed over the last 6 or so years and it blew my mind. I give a lot of my quilts away as gifts so I was looking back through pics of them and I thought I would share my FAVES with you. It was really hard to pick but I narrowed it down to these ones!
1-Strawberry Trails QuiltI love this quilt! When I was making it Hailey quickly claimed it as hers as she does with so many of my quilts. Lol. This quilt makes up pretty fast. Simple instructions help you make this Irish Chain quilt in no time at all. It makes a great lap size quilt to cuddle under and read a book or watch a good movie. It is also a great size for a toddler quilt
2- Shark AttackThis is my newest quilt tutorial and I love it because it was so not what I normally do. It took me out of my comfort zone and I liked it. After I finished this quilt (and got an overwhelming positive response from you guys) I started designing quilt that were a little more challenging and I can’t wait to share them you. I will still be doing some basic quilt tutorials for the beginner quilter and then when you have mastered those skills you can move on tot the more advanced quilts.
3- Indigo and Cheddar Flying GeeseThis quilt is not as hard as it looks. The way I make flying geese is simple and it doesn’t waste as much fabric and the more traditional techniques can. I will say this though; this quilt is time-consuming. It is not a one afternoon quilt at all. But the end results make it worth it. This was the first “traditional” quilt I had designed and think it turned out amazing!
4- Traffic QuiltThis quilt holds a special place in my heart. I used the Pieces of Hope 2 collection which was all about autism. I ended up giving this quilt to a dear friend who so kind to Jack. It was the first quilt I did that i designed more than one block for and I loved improving that skill set.
5- Squared To the MaxThis quilt is a good twin size quilt. Even though I made it in boy fabric (went to my nephew) it would look good in fabric. The possibilities are endless on this one. I was actually thinking it would be fun to re make this one in more modern fabrics. What do you think?
6- On Our Way
Want a fun, fast quilt that will make a statement? Then I recommend this quilt. It is the perfect baby quilt. With its modern designs and soft colors any mom would be thrilled to receive it. And the mom I gave it to loved it so much!
7- Chain Market QuiltThis quilt actually wasn’t made by me but I designed it. It was a little nerve-wracking designing a quilt that someone else was going to make. When I design a quilt I usually tweak the pattern as I am making the quilt. But when I handed it over to my SIL I hadn’t had a chance to make it. But it all worked out. The quilt is beautiful and she did and amazing job on it!
8-Falling Leaves This was one of the first “quilts” I made for a company! I still have it stowed away with the autumn decor. I have plans to redo this one and make it a quilt. That should be happening in the next few months.
I have a lot more tutorials planned out for the next couple months. I am so excited for them; so make sure you come by and check them out.
