As you are all aware, I live in Northern Utah and our winters tend to be a little on the cold side-and I get cold super easy. I was worried about how the cold weather would affect my running. I’ll be honest with finals and the holidays I haven’t been great about it. But I didn’t want the cold weather to be another excuse I use to avoid tying up my running shoes and heading out the door.
I took my dilemma to the wonderful people at the New Balance store in Union Park to see what advice they might have. That is the main reason I love shopping at that store, the customer service you receive when you shop local is outstanding. I love the one on one attention I get when I go in there. They are always so helpful.
When I talked them about how the cold weather might interfere with my running therapy they had some great ideas. They showed me this awesome hoodie that is made from a material that reacts with your body heat and helps keep you warm. It works awesome. In fact I am going to go back and get Jack one. Jack hates wearing coats. Kids on the Autism spectrum are very sensitive to textures and noises so he hates coats and always wears hoodies. I would love to get him one to help him stay warm on the playground.I got this adorable basic tank top that I love to use as a base under my hoodie. I am not going to lie I wear it all the time. It fits amazing, is super lightweight and very comfy. I love the racer back straps and I plan to get one or maybe two in every color. A girl can never have too many tanks, right????I love the pants they hooked me up with. They have zippers on the bottom to help you pull them on and off. These also react to your body heat helping you stay warm while out running. As an added bonus they are super cute.
If you run cold like I do I highly recommend you head up to New Balance in Union Park and have them help you. Tell them Katie says hi.
This post was compensated by New Balance at Union Park. I received the clothes so I could give an honest review.
