It is that time of the year where we start to think about how we will be the next year. Whether it is the number one resolution, weight loss, eating better, budgeting, reading more, etc. Then come the third week of the new year we totally forget what we are doing, and get upset for letting ourselves down.
For the last couple years, I have given up on resolutions. Instead, I have decided to make large goals, with small attainable goals to help me get there. For example, I really want to lose 30 pounds, but instead of focusing on the ultimate weight, I will work towards 5-10 lbs. at a time.
So instead, this upcoming year make a list of some things you would like to accomplish this upcoming year. Take some time, find a quite spot in your home, and start to think of things you would like to see yourself do in the coming year. Once you have that list, break them down into attainable goals.
As I look to the upcoming year I already feel overwhelmed. I work full time, I will be starting my Spring semester full time, sports for the kids begin, we have lots of travel planned, and we will be moving in to our new home. But as I look into the future I have a word that I will focus on throughout the year, PRIORITZE.
With such a busy schedule, I will need to really prioritize my time, and make sure my family and myself does not take the backseat.
Now, on to my goals:
**Make a day every month to have a one on one date with each son
**Lose 30-50 lbs.
**Get back into a fitness regimen, I will be starting Zumba this semester at school
**Plan more date nights with my husband
**Focus on the blog and social media
**Budget, and make becoming debt free a priority in our finances
**Finding more opportunities to serve
