I have been Pinners, once before, but this year was different. I actually helped Katie present in her sewing class. She made the cutest sewing tote. And both of her classes were SOLD OUT. Katie is very talented in her craft, I am glad to be able to help her. Even though I really don’t. (I don’t know anything about sewing)
Look at her being all professional. She did great, although our mics weren’t working, and she was stressing about it, she pulled through. We had all levels of sewing. We had some that had no idea how to work a machine, my kind of people. We had some who knew what to do, and took off on their own. We had cute little girls, to men. That is right, we had at least one man in each class!!!
After teaching 2 classes. We were super exhausted. But we still signed up for so many classes. And they did not disappoint. Katie went off and took the ones she wanted and I went my way for my own classes. And when got back together, we had so much to share.
We took every Happy Planner class we possibly could. We love to plan and were introduced to Traveler’s Notebooks. Life changing!!! I took a couple of classes that was more of a self help. Learning to take of ourselves and not feeling guilty about it. I learned a lot from it. It did take me out of my comfort zone.
This was form a class that helps us get the most out of days, and to get into a routine to help you be successful in your life. If you cant read it, it says:
“Routine can become so automatic that we start performing them without realizing it. So we get done what needs to get done, even when our minds are preoccupied with other things.”
This is where I struggle in my life. We have routines, but you also need to prioritize what is important and add that to your routine. Very beneficial.
This class was held by Simply Sadie Jane. Her class was about how we need to be respectful to ourselves, and treat our self nicely. Like most women, we are our worst critics. We speak negatively about ourselves, we compare ourselves. And we NEED to STOP IT!! In her class we had to close our eyes and picture ourselves taking the time we needed, and what that would look like. And then we had to say 5 things were grateful for, and then 5 things we love about ourselves. Made me think of things that I needed to do to be my better self.
So, next year if you can, take time for yourself and get to Pinners Conference. Hopefully Katie and I will be teaching another class.
